Hello 8th grade families,
I hope you are having a great start to the new quarter! Our students are in full swing in their routines at school! We have a bunch of information to share with you for our ongoing, and never ending, events for our 8th grade students.
Meadow Farms:
Our online store is STILL going until December 13th. Please visit our website and support our 8th grade end of the year events, such as our Dance, Smokey Glen field trip and our Celebration. Below is the link to the store. If you have any questions please let Mrs. Blades or Mrs. Presley know.
https://shop.meadowfarms.com/roberto-clemente-middle-school-100247
Those of you who ordered through the packets. Your orders have been processed AND we are waiting on shipping to the school. Once we have everything Mrs. Presley and Mrs. Blades will reach out to pick up OR send it home with your child. Thank you for your orders!
8th grade T Shirt Designs:
Every year our students design our 8th grade shirts! Voting for our shirts has begun, so please have your child check their canvas email for the link! The deadline to vote is December 9th at 3pm. Ordering a shirt will happen in the new year
Panda Express Fundraiser:
On December 9th, we are having another Panda Express fundraiser. Here are the flyers in English
and Spanish
Papa John’s Fundraiser Cards:
We are selling Papa John’s Fundraiser Cards! Each card works as a year long coupon for buy one get one free pizza. The cards are $15 each. Students who are interested in buying a card should email (erin.presley@mcpsmd.net) or come talk to Mrs. Presley before or after school, or during lunch.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
REGISTER FOR CASH ONLINE
CURRENT CLEMENTE MS PARENT/GUARDIAN SchoolCash Online REGISTRATIONS: 44.9%
We’re still sitting just shy of 45% registered. THANK YOU to all of you who have set up your parent/guardian accounts!
Have you registered for SchoolCash Online (SCO) yet?
Parents/guardians can register now at: https://mcpsmd.schoolcashonline.com/
Can’t find your student’s PIN to add them to your account?
On August 15th & 16th and September 5th & 6th, MCPS sent emails providing student PINs to each parent/guardian’s preferred email address on file. Please be sure to check your email for the MCPS message sent to you on those dates.
Still don’t see the email from MCPS?
Please contact Ms. Beth Shull, School Financial Specialist, or our Main Office at 301-284-4750.
Fun Facts:
- SCO is NOT related to school cafeteria accounts. The PIN needed to add your student to your SCO account is a one-time-only PIN, separate from your student’s lunch PIN!
- ALL payments to RCMS for school-related fees (fundraisers, field trips, obligations, etc.) will be processed through SCO!
- SCO eliminates the need for our hardworking teachers to process money collected from each student because each payment is sent directly to the school’s bank account!
- Once registered, you will be immediately informed about school activities via SCO emails!
- SCO allows all users to make purchases online using a credit card or e-check!
- Prices include processing fees, regardless of the type of payment, so everyone pays the same amount!

SERT CLUB
The School Energy & Recycling Team, also known as the SERT club, is looking for interested students that want to get involved with the school's recycling and energy efforts. The SERT club played a major role when RCMS achieved it's Green School status prior to the pandemic and now we need to continue where we left off. Students participating in SERT will receive SSL hours as well as making a difference in our community.
