Verb Phrase
A group of words put together that has a verb
Ex: She was quickly running to the mall
The college student was writing a report.
Noun Phrase
A group of words put together that has a noun ( person, place, or thing )
Ex: You are a true hero.
Can you please make your yummy chocolate chip cookies?
Articals in the English Language
A, an and the are articles. These show if the noun is refering to somthing specific or not
Why is 'I' a pronoun?
Pronoun: A word that takes place of a noun
"I" is a pronoun because it takes place of somebodys name. And somebodys name is a noun.Linking Verb and Action Verb
Action Verb: describes what the subject of the sentence is doing
Ex: Jerry grabbed his phone
Linking verb: connects a subject with an adjective or noun that describes or identifies the subject
Ex: Joshua is a basketball fan
