Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
The beginning of the year is off to a great start! Here are a few reminder to help everyone stay safe at drop off and pick up!
Drop Off
- Always obey the crossing guard to wave you forward or stop traffic!
- Never pass a bus with the red lights flashing!
- If you are dropping off at the curb please pull forward as far as possible before letting your students exit the vehicle. Parents should NOT exit the vehicle in the drop off lane!
- If you would like to assist your student from the car, please park and walk across at the crosswalk.
- Please do not park on the EAST side of Billie Ruth to drop students. This is not safe. Parking along the WEST curb closest to the campus (facing southbound) or in designated spots along the circle drive are safe. There is no crossing guard on Billie Ruth. The safest way to drop off your students is to use the drop off lane.
- The Redbud Lot doors are open for drop off from 7:15-7:40.
- Redbud doors lock at 7:40.
- The Front Drive is open for drop off from 7:15-7:50.
- At 7:50 the front doors automatically lock and the bell must be used for access.
- Students must be in their classroom when the 7:50 bell rings or they are considered tardy. Tardies will be documented in the MOOSE.
Pick Up
- Pick up in the Redbud Drive is for busses, day care vans and PK/Kinder car riders only!
- Always obey the crossing guard to wave you forward or stop traffic!
- Please do not park on the EAST side of Billie Ruth to pick up students. This is not safe. Parking along the WEST curb closest to the campus (Facing South) or in designated spots along the circle drive are safe. There is no crossing guard on Billie Ruth. The safest way to pick up your students is to use the pick up lane.
- Never pass a bus with the red lights flashing!
- Please pull forward as far as possible and we will send your students to you when traffic stops.
- Always have your grade level Pick Up Card in the dash window at dismissal. If you lose your card you can get another one from your child's teacher.
- If you need to go north after pick up to get back to Pipeline, please turn RIGHT out of the circle drive, LEFT on to Oakwood, then go LEFT on Livingston which will take you north to Pipeline road. This will reduce the congestion on Billie Ruth.
- Please do not travel North on Billie Ruth from Oakwood to enter the circle drive. Continue on Oakwood, turn LEFT on Livingston (NORTH bound), turn LEFT on Willow, turn LEFT on Billie Ruth, you are now going south on Billie Ruth and can enter the pick up lane.
- All traffic between Willow and Oakwood on Billie Ruth should travel south bound during Drop off and Pick Up times. This reduces congestion and creates a safer environment for students.
