Data-Driven Instruction

This week we will engage in our first cycle of DDI or data-driven instruction. Our goal is not "teaching to the test;" it is to align our practices and instruction with our students' needs.

Our students will take rigorous assessments in reading and math (and writing in 4th grade and science in 5th grade.) All in Learning will provide detailed analysis reports of student results as individuals, by class, grade level, question, and student expectation/skill.

Together in grade level grouping, we will ask not "Did we teach it?" but "Did the students learn it? And, if they didn't, how can we teach it so that they do?" Then we'll create detailed action plans to ensure all students achieve mastery of the curriculum.

Thank you for being courageous educators who examine instruction through the lens of student results! You ARE the difference makers!
