Our entire faculty and staff would like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving and a restful break. Each and every day, we give thanks to be able to call ourselves Pence Knights. It is an honor to be able to partner with you in the education of your students. Middle school is an adventure indeed, but we wouldn't want to be on this journey anywhere else.

To put it simply, NO OTHER MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT BODY AND COMMUNITY RALLIES AROUND A CAUSE LIKE OUR PENCE KNIGHTS!
I would like to personally thank each student and family who donated this week and I know the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and the families that will benefit from your generosity will be thrilled to recieve such a gift! It is humbling to be a part of such a giving community.

SCHOOL MUSICAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
Auditions for the WSPMS Musical Spectacular will begin on November 29. Students interested in auditioning need to return their permission forms to Mrs. Mumbauer no later than MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22! Should you have any questions please contact Mrs. Mumbauer (

College or Career Spirit Day
We enjoyed seeing our students dressed in the attire for our aspiring Dukes, Hokies, Cavaliers, Eagles, Blue Devils (1 Cameron Crazy), etc. Furthermore, we had future chefs, teachers, health care workers, linemen, etc. All in all, it was a great week for school spirit!
7th Grade Basketball Season
Congratulations on a Great Season!
We would like to congratulate our girls & boys basketball players along with our cheerleaders on the conclusion of a great season. Our athletes not only performed on the court, but they demonstrated teamwork and sportsmanship each and every week.
A special congratulations to our 7th grade boys team for an Undefeated Season!

Open to all students grades 6, 7, and 8
Practice begins Monday, November 29 from 3:30 - 5:30
Students must be in good school standing and have a current VHSL physical on file to participate in all sports.

As you are attending extracurricular events outside of the school day, please consider uploading your photos to our yearbook photo database. Sometimes the best pictures are taken by you. We would love to potentially include these in our 2022 yearbook. Access

Students may preorder a yearbook with cash or check. If paying in cash, correct change is appreciated. Order forms will NOT be sent home. Your student will need to bring a payment to Mrs. Dove, in room 201, during homeroom in the morning and will fill out an order form then.
