The Week in Review - November 15, 2019
Bearcats Move to 2nd Round
Be sure to come out tonight to watch the Bearcats face Oxford at Oliver Woodard Stadium at 7:00 p.m. in round 2 of the AHSAA football playoffs! Go Bearcats!
Bright Students
Give them wire, batteries, lightbulbs and an objective but NO instructions—and you get a lot of lightbulb moments! These EES students' faces were bright with excitement when they discovered what they could do.
Strategies for Success
The CCPS Zebra class started Friday with a quick morning meeting followed by whole group phonemic awareness practice using multi-sensory strategies. Not a bad way to start the day!
CHS Band in NYC
The CHS Band recently returned from New York. It was a trip filled with opportunities for the band members to experience exciting moments like the one pictured below. The band played at the Stature of Liberty. What a beautiful sight and sound!
Look What's New!
New Chromebooks at EES made it feel like Christmas came early this year. Students were so excited about the addition of these new classroom sets!
New Maker Space at WES
WES students found a brand new Maker Space in the library media center this week. We can't wait to see what student design and create!
CMS Tribute
If you have passed by CMS this week you have seen these amazing pieces of art displayed on campus. Art work created by 8th grade students is featured as CMS pays tribute and says "thank you" to those who have served our country.
Chemical Reaction
Look at those faces! These EES students certainly seem to be enjoying science and the chemical reaction that they created.
Board Game Days at CCPS
A few years ago CCPS began an initiative that continues this year. The goal for the initiative is to instill social and communication skills by playing "old fashioned" board games. Board Game Days are always a hit!
WES Fitness
An opportunity was missed last week to recognize the fitness activities and improvement in the fitness levels of our students. We are proud of the improvements they have made!
