✅CFA #1 Data Talk✅
- Look at how the students did on standards. Drill down to the question and see what they did well and what they didn’t.
- Ask yourself at what level of proficiency you expected? Are you at introductory (maybe only 50% of the students getting it is actually appropriate since you just introduced it)? Review? Mastery?
- Were you on scope?
- How did they do on multiple choice VS multiple select? We know they will have both on state test, so how can we talk about ways to process multiple select and get them ready?
- Test taking strategies are real life skills and we can have these conversations to help them. Driving test? Trade school tests? College? Military?
- Use the response frequency report to drill down even further and see the misconceptions that students had.
- Compare questions on the same standard and see what may have contributed to them being successful one on and not the other.

🆘ECOT/KOT🆘
ECOT and KOT observations must be done. Your final observations and ratings must be entered into your NMPED ECOT account and finalized by October 10-13th. The system will shut completely down on October 14th.

Do not wait until the last minute to check your ECOT/KOT roster. Please contact Virginia Cole if you still have students missing.
📚 Literacy Corner 📚
"The lack of phonemic awareness is the most powerful determinant of the likelihood of failure to read" -Adams 1990
According to the National Institute for Health " 'only 5% of children have cognitive impairments that would make becoming a proficient reader extremely difficult." That means that 95% can become proficient readers. 95%! In our nation we currently have just 35% of 4th graders and 34% of 8th graders reading at a proficient level.'
