Dear church family,
The kids had less practice time together this year, and had to practice more at home, THEY DID IT...and it was amazing. The leadership the kids have shown has been so cool to see. I love watching the way the younger kids look up to the older kids and follow their lead. We have been working towards that for a few years now in our worship/prayer time. It is not always easy to understand why the 12th graders need to be in singing with the 1st graders, but on nights like this we can see it all come together.
We also have an awesome team of people that helped the kids in the music roles. If not for their willingness the songs wouldn't have had the heart behind it that they did. Thank you to each of these people.
The people that stepped forward and helped with the projection and sound were so patient, Thank you for the time you spent on getting words on the screen and microphones and speakers in place.
To the musicians and worship coordinators, for playing instruments and organizing music. Thank you.
Parents who helped by bringing kids to practice, encouraging them and helping with the little ones with their bells and timing. Thank you.
Those who helped move pulpit furniture, chairs and music stands, Thank you.
Teachers, Thank you for helping, supporting and encouraging these kids. You are special people and it is obvious how much you care.
And, of course, to our youth, (please share this with them)
You are extraordinary!
"You are Magnificent!" to quote Pastor Bob.
Don't let anyone look down on you because of your age. You can spread the love of Christ and praise Him with voices that are, most times, heard better than adult voices. You have gifts that can bring the world such great joy. We pray that you see this within yourselves.
The light of the world is spread by each flame. Keep your flames shining bright! You continue to teach each one of us just by being who you are.
We are SO proud of each of you, and love you.
Keep growing, learning and sharing your love of Christ. The world will notice and God will be praised!
So thankful for each one of you. We pray you have a blessed Christmas and w look forward to seeing each of you in January.
Much love,
Miss Jen, Miss Megan, Miss Katie, Mr. John and Mr. Kevin
