Mustang Message
August 28, 2020
Dear Families,
Last night the School Board voted to make a change to the school calendar. They determined that Phase 1 of 100% virtual learning will end on September 10. September 11 is now a Professional Development/Prep Day for teachers so that we are able to begin Phase 2 on September 14. This makes March 12 (originally scheduled to be a teacher Professional Development Day) now a regular school day.
Starting on September 14, we will be able to allow 25% of our building's functional capacity back at Murchison. Based on this new information, I will be adjusting the presentation I was planning to send to parents this week. Watch for the presentation from me on the plans for returning to school in your email early next week.
Any child who elected to remain virtual for the first 9 weeks will continue to do so. If you elected to return to school, we are working on a plan for which students will be able to return and will notify you by September 8.
Thank you to all of the wonderful Mustang families that have supported our virtual learning so far! I feel so lucky to be part of this wonderful community.
With thanks,
Carrie Quinney
