More book fair information
The Holmsley Library is excited to bring the Literati Book Fair to our campus. Your student will have the opportunity to browse a wide variety of books and other items available for purchase with proceeds benefiting our campus library. Participation is optional. Please discuss your expectations for purchases with your student before their visit to the fair. Literati will be sending materials recommended for students in PreK-5.
If your student purchases a book that does not meet your discussed expectations, please email lyn.dwoskin@cfisd.net before December 8 to exchange or refund the item. Students who have been opted out of library services in the parent portal will not attend the book fair. If you have any questions about the book fair, please contact our campus librarian, and thank you for supporting our library.
Watch DOGS
Are you interested in being a part of our campus Watch D.O.G.S program? This is your chance!
Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures who volunteer at least once each year at their child’s school. They change the culture of the school by giving students an opportunity to connect and interact with father-figures in a positive way at school. Your day on campus will consist of different activities including lunch duty, hallway monitoring and spending time in classes.
This year we are only welcoming one volunteer a day.
- To join our program, call or email to indicate which dates you would like to come and serve. Ms. Jimenez or her secretary will reach out to you with confirmation of your assigned date.
- Once you have your confirmed date, you may click here to purchase the white Official Classic Uniform Short Sleeve Soft Style T-Shirt (if you do not already have one).
- The shirt will be mailed to you. We do recommend you purchase this shirt because it is an easier way we can identify you on campus. Either way, we will give all Watch DOGS a badge attached to a lanyard when you arrive to the school on your assigned volunteer day. If questioned by a staff member, please show them your badge.
Thank you,
Watch DOG Coordinator & Assistant Principal, Candi Jimenez
