Message from the Principal
On Friday afternoon the administrative team hosted our March distribution day for remote students only. Students who have been in school (hybrid/S students) have collected or will collect their learning bags next week. As we prepare for full return we will continue to explore different ways to distribute learning materials to students who are remote for the remainder of the school year. We noticed a significant decrease in families retrieving learning bags so we will rethink a more efficient and convenient way to send school materials home.
We had all NEGATIVES for our pool tests this week, woo hoo! We are doing our part and wearing our masks, hand washing or hand sanitizing and maintaining our distance! Please submit the student pool testing consent form to your child's teacher if you are interested for your child to participate in pool testing. We have over 200 students in each cohort and only 179 students were tested last Wednesday. It would be amazing to test 100% of our students weekly to ensure a healthy safety reopening. On Monday April 5th, we will have 548 students return to Barbieri School for in-person learning every day!
Next week we will be resending an updated Return to School Presentation with updates on arrivals/dismissals, lunches, etc. Thank you for your patience as we await direction from district leaders to finalize plans.
Gracias por todo,
Maria
Sra. Carmen Rios

Students/Families Travel (April Vacation and more)
If your family plans to travel please adhere to the Massachusetts Travel Order. We want to ensure that all of the protocols are being followed to ensure a safe environment for all at our school. Any families/students who travel should communicate with our school nurses Omayra or Meghan as you will need to receive MEDICAL CLEARANCE from either of them to return to Barbieri School.
If your child is sent home or is told to remain at home due to Covid-19 symptoms, you must have clearance from the school nurses in the form of either a phone call or email response to negative test results. Please also keep in mind that your child should remain home until symptoms subside, even if they test negative for Covid-19.
