The Liverpool Letter
Liverpool Public School - July 2021
Principal's Message
Welcome back to a very different Term 3.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your support in making the transition to learning from home a success.
We understand that learning from home is challenging. Staff have been working hard to make sure we are able to support our students’ learning in many different ways. Please reach out to the school if there is anything we can do to help at home. We are more than willing to try and assist where we can.
In line with current public health orders, the majority of staff are working from home. This means that the office is closed for on-site enquiries.
Following the communication plan we developed, if parents and carers are looking for information about learning from home or need to contact the school for a specific query, they can:
- visit our website and our Learning from home page in particular
- visit our Facebook page
- download Skoolbag for regular updates
- email liverpool-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au
- telephone 02 9602 7882
Our website is full of information and how to guides. It may be quicker to try some of the help ideas we have collated before contacting the school.
Please remember that it may take 24 to 48 hours for someone to respond to your request as staff will be busy supporting students with their learning.
We now have a dedicated number for use with our messaging service. This provides our community with confidence that any text messages you receive about learning from home are officially from Liverpool Public School. Our aim is to only use text messaging when information needs to be shared quickly. Normally Facebook and Skoolbag are our preferred communication methods.
Whilst we are unsure how long our current arrangements will last, I encourage our community to stay safe and keep up to date with the latest information from NSW Health.
Finally, on what is a special time for our Muslim families, I wish you all Eid Mubarak.
Regards
Mr Tapuska

We are currently liaising with the different venues to select an alternative date for later this year.
We will update parents and carers once we have a clearer understanding of when learning from home and restrictions for school are due to end.
Refunds or credits are not being processed at the moment.
LPS Central News
Dear Parents and Carers,
On behalf of all the staff at Liverpool Public School we would like to say a big thank you to all the Parents and Carers who have been doing an amazing job at supporting your children with their online learning and trying to juggle life at the same time. You are all amazing!
Please remember to take care of yourselves as well as everyone else at home. Google some fun things to do at home for e.g. dance classes or cooking lessons. Play board games together, paint together! Enjoy time at home together with things that make you laugh!
Yes we are all in this together and it is a time of worry and stress...but let's focus on the good together. Enjoy finding out more about one another, I wonder how much your children know about you? Do they know what your favourite colour is? Do they know what your favourite activity was when you were their age???
Have fun learning new things together.
Take care everyone, and stay safe!
Anna Evangelista
Community Liaison Officer
Parents and Carers, you are invited to our 'Mrs E and Friends' morning tea zoom sessions.
We meet every Tuesday 11:30 am. The zoom link is uploaded every week on the Skoolbag app. This is a great opportunity for our families to maintain a connection with the school staff. We talk about different topics every week.
There is an opportunity for parents and carers to chat and ask any questions.
It may be worthwhile to call your internet providers, electricity providers etc, and ask if you are able to receive any discounts during these uncertain times.
