Enjoy your summer!!!
Greeting Woodcrest Families,
Can you believe it?! There is one day left. I cannot thank each of you enough for the partnership, support, and encouragement you have given your students, staff and our overall community. In partnership with each of you, we refined our practices in a number of ways and created a successful year of learning for our students.
The conditions we experienced during this pandemic required creative and responsive adaptations. We learned how to meet the changing learning needs of each of our students. I am especially proud of how our staff developed relationships with students that deepened our understanding of those needs and helped us be as effective as possible in our responses. This, among many other things, is something we do not want to lose.
I have had a number of families reach out to me with questions about what the health and safety recommendations for the upcoming school year will be. Right now, we plan to resume school this fall, which starts September 7, as normal. With regards to summer programming, you can find more information about updated guidance for summer in this newsletter.
Here are a few additional items of interest and celebration as we close out the year:
- Report cards will be available electronically June 14, 2021 in Campus Parent Portal
- Summer needs and questions can be directed to our District Services Center at 763-600-5000.
- School communications will resume in early August with information about meet and greet events, school supplies and the overall plan for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
- High school graduation - If you would like to celebrate with this year’s graduates – the event will be live streamed this Friday, June 11, 7 p.m. Find all the info you need at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/graduation
This year would never have been as successful if it were not for each of you partnering with us at Woodcrest. Looking back on the year, it has been a testament that JUNTOS ES MEJOR and we will continue to be BETTER TOGETHER!
Stay in touch over the summer and continue creating opportunities for your children to learn and explore.

The one exception is masks continue to be required for Learning Ventures (child care) students and staff until July 1, 2021, or until Minnesota hits 70% vaccination rate
We are following updated guidance from Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Department of Education. Minnesota Department of Health continues to recommend masks for unvaccinated people as well as three or more feet of physical distancing.
We remain committed to safe learning at school this summer and as we plan for the fall. A summary of our current health and safety plans and learning models can be found on our COVID-19 web hub.
Input, feedback and questions throughout the year have helped shape our plans and maximize safe, in person learning at school. To share questions or comments about the latest update to our safe in person learning plans, please email email@example.com.
