Congratulations to all of the Regional Qualifiers for an excellent show at the 2016 South Plains Regional Science Fair. LBMS will be represented by 10 students at the State Science and Engineering Fair in San Antonio, TX on March 31 - April 2.

Report Cards

The end of the Forth Six Weeks is on February 12. Report Cards will be posted to Skyward on Wednesday, February 17. If you are unable to access your report card, please contact Mrs. Englehardt at 776-0750.

Early Dismissal

Students will be released at 12:00 p.m. on February 12.

Pirate Pride

Pirate Pride has been rescheduled for February 12. LBMS will run on a modified schedule on that day. Lunch will be provided in the cafeteria for those who wish to eat lunch prior to leaving. Pirate Pride will begin at 10:15 a.m.

Valentines Dance

The Valentines Dance will be hosted by Student Council on February 12 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jennifer Lindsey at 544-7450.


Dance tickets will pre-sold for $5.00. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.


PTO will be selling red carnations on Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12 during lunch.

One for the Team - Sponsored by PTO

Show your team spirit by joining us for a fundraiser to support Laura Bush Middle School. Come in to the Chipotle at 8201 Quaker Ave. in Lubbock on Wednesday, February 24 between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. Tell your cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Laura Bush Middle School.


Join us at Menchie's Frozen Yogurt (8201 Quaker Ave. location) from 5:00 p.m. until closing and 20% of your purchase will benefit Laura Bush Middle School.

City Basketball Champions

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls and boys basketball teams for winning the City Tournament over the weekend. Both the girls and the boys defeated the Frenship Tigers for their first place win.


The 8th grade boys placed third while the 8th grade girls placed fourth.
