Principal's Newsletter
December 2019
Note from the Principal's Desk
This is my very favorite time of year. So many fun activities and the kids are bursting with excitement! I hope to see many parents at some of our December activities.
I wanted to share with the parent community some personal news. It is with excitement I announce that I expecting a baby boy due April 8th. This was a very big shock to my family but over time we have come to be excited about the new addition of a baby to our family. This brings my family to a tie of 2 girls and 2 boys.
What that means for my role as your childs' principal is I will have to be out the last 2 months of school. I have found a wonderful, experienced substitute named Skye Larsh. Skye is a retired principal and coach. The kids have been able to get to know her, as she subbed for me in November. As we near the end of March I will provide you all with her contact information and get her set up with everything she needs to close out the year.
Sincerely,
Kelly Eagan

Dreambox December
During the month of December, we only have 14 1/2 school days. Students will be challenged to use some of their vacation time to continue their learning through Dreambox. Our Dreambox challenge asks students to complete 5 hours of Dreambox before we return in January. Some of this will occur at school and others at home. Any student able to complete the challenge will receive a Bulldog Dog Tag Chain. Any student able to complete 6 or more hours will receive a paw tag for their dog tag. The goal of this is to get our kids engaged in this wonderful program and keep their learning going over break. Please note this is completely optional!
*Any student who does not have computer access at home will be allowed to complete alternate activities.
