Hallway Sweeps
Hello Humboldt Families:
We are looking forward to a strong start to Quarter 2. Recently, we have noticed that some students are not moving to classes in a timely manner. For that reason, we are going to begin following hallway procedures on Monday, November 21st to encourage students to arrive to each class on time:
- Students will review THIS PRESENTATION during Advisory/Foundations this week.
- Teachers and staff will continue to support timely transitions during passing time.
- Classroom doors will be closed and locked when the final bell rings.
- Students remaining in the hall will move to the auditorium.
- Students' families will be called after they speak to a staff member in the auditorium.
- Students will return to class with a pass.
- Students who are tardy to more than one class will receive administrative consequences that may include being dismissed for the remainder of the day.
Please reach out with questions.
Attendance
We are noticing many students arriving late to school after the start time of 8:30 am. Please continue to encourage your child(ren) to be on time to school and in class to avoid further attendance actions. We welcome your continued support and encouragement around this matter.
Winter is fast approaching, and the season can be extreme. Students are expected to attend school every day and on time unless the district declares a e-learning day due to extreme winter weather conditions.
For more information you can access the winter weather plan here. https://www.spps.org/weather

It was a wonderful night and everyone involved felt the love and support for our Humboldt Seniors. Many students were able to thank their parents as well as our staff for helping them be able to attend the evening and getting them to the point where they felt prepared to consider post secondary options.
