Southfield, Alexander II Teachers Receive Grants for Teacher Appreciation Week
We appreciate our teachers each and every day. They are the backbone of what we do.
But during Teacher Appreciation Day and Teacher Appreciation Week, it’s extra special to see our partners at Robins Financial Credit Union step in to crank up the appreciation. On Tuesday, May 3, Robins representatives stopped by Southfield Elementary to deliver a $3600 grant to music teacher Jazmin Hunt to purchase ukuleles and other instruments for students to use.
“This means a lot to me and a lot to the students,” Hunt said. “Now being able to win this grant money, we’re going to be able to get our own instruments here for our students.”
We love our teachers!
Robins representatives also visited Alexander II Magnet School teacher Amanda Erceg to present her with a grant for educational materials and supplies for her students.
