Sports
There are a lot of popular sports. Some are sepaktakraw, soccer, main gasing, cricket, kite flying and badminton. These are only some of the sports. In Malaysia there is a lot of unique sports.
Sepaktakraw is a combition of two sports vollyball and soccer. In sepaktakraw there is a net like in vollyball, but its a lot shorter. Instead of hitting the ball over with your hands you use your legs, back, head and chest. You can use anything but your hands to keep the ball in the air. The ball is made of a kind of palm called rattan.
Main gasing is another unquie sport. Main gasing is a top spinning where you spin against someone else. You spin a top until yours falls over. Sometimes they will spin for more than a hour. Some other sports are soccer, badmitton, cricket and kite flying. Cricket is kind of like baseabll but you can hit the ball anywhere you and hit it in front of ou or behind. The bat is flat so its easier to hit it. In kite flying you fly kites and try to knock the other peoples kites over. Badmitton is a little bit like tennis. The net is higher and and you don't use a bad you use birdy but is not a real bird.
Geography
Malaysia is made from mountains to caves to dense rain forest. Malaysia averages over 100 inches of rain a year. They have more than 14,000 species of flowers, 200 species of mammals and 600 species of birds. .
Malaysia is split into two parts east Malaysia and west Malaysia. They are separated by the china sea. West Malaysia is peninsula. All sides are cover by water. Tree cover mountains run north south in west Malaysia. A long the coast there are lots of small islands. The coast is plains.
East Malaysia has two states Sahab and Sarawak. Sarawak is coastal plains while Sahab is cover in jungles. Sarawak has the largest underground cave in the world. You can fit 16 football or 40 jumbo jets in the cave.
