In Honor of Memorial Day
To those who courageously gave their lives and those who bravely fight today, we are forever indebted to you that we may be free.
Thank you to all of our country's past, present and future armed service members and their families for your dedication and sacrifice.
Message from the Principal
With about two weeks left of school, we are working hard to ensure students are completing the school year on a trajectory of positive growth and learning. We also want to help bring some closure and normalcy to students and families at the end of a year in which students, parents, and staff have overcome many challenges.
We look forward to next year when we are likely to be back to five days a week of in-person learning and full seasons of school sports and activities, though safety guidelines and requirements will remain in place.
Some of our end of year activities during the last three days of school will include:
Students will participate in a school-wide Zoom awards assembly.
Student will enjoy a game of schoolwide summer Bingo
Students will be offered BBQ smoked hot dogs outside at lunches (served within current safety guidelines)
Current 5th graders and families can drive-through the back entrance of RMS for a welcome of incoming 6th Graders from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
June 16th (last day of school - half day)
Students will join Zoom Office Hours for good-bye activities
Students will view the end of the year slideshow and video yearbook.
Thank you so much to our parents, families, and students for supporting our school and community this year. We appreciate all that you have overcome to engage and succeed in distance learning and hybrid learning.
Keep checking Syward to help students maintain and improve grades through the first two weeks of June. Look for more details and information soon about the upcoming year-end events listed above. Thank you all for your continued support!
