Types Of Plate Boundaries

By: Matthew Lee

Convergent Boundaries

Convergent Boundaries are when plates of different size collide into each other. One plate is forced under the other and it heats up and becomes part of the magma.

Divergent Boundaries

Divergent Boundaries are when Plates pull apart. This results in a pouring out of magma. When this cools it results in new landmasses

Transform Boundaries

Transform Boundaries are when tectonic plates slide past one another. Fault lines are usually the result of transform boundaries.
