BISHOP BULLETIN SEPTEMBER 5, 2019
BEARS! Be Empathetic, Accountable, Respectful, Safe
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
A big thank you to all of our families who attended our back to school night. It was wonderful to see so many of you visiting your student's classrooms and our specials teachers.
SPIRIT DAY SUCCESS!
Our first spirit day last Friday was a huge success. It was fun to see so many of our staff and students dressed for the beach!
AUTHOR VISITS 4TH GRADE CLASS
Jayne Sbarboro is an author who has published some books in past. She is currently working on her second book and is in the process of revising and editing. Mrs. Yuliya's students were able to give her feedback about word choice and illustrations. We made great connections with the writing process and a narrative writing unit.
SCHOOL STORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Do you have few spare hours a month you could help us at our school store? Please see link here to sign up!
BISHOP TICKET COUNTERS NEEDED
Bishop Bears like to Be Empathetic, Accountable,Respectful, and Safe! Our bears are earning Bishop Tickets for exhibiting these traits throughout the school. Tickets are like cash, and are "spent" at our School Store once a month. We need tickets sorted by class and counted each week. If you are able to help out on weekends counting tickets, please add your name to the corresponding slot(s) for the dates you can help here. Uncounted tickets are picked up the last day of the school week, and returned the following Monday, or the first day back. Thanks for helping us encourage and recognize our wonderful Bishop Bears!
ENGLEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL MOVIE NIGHT SEPTEMBER 6
Please see flyer here for Englewood Middle Schools movie night.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Please save Box Tops! Our school earns money for playground equipment for each box top turned in! We have a box by the front office to collect your box tops! Thank you for supporting our school.
DONATIONS FOR OUR SCHOOL STORE?
Every month we hold a school store where students are given the opportunity to "buy"items with Bishop tickets that they earn. We are always looking for donations to add to our school store such as lollipops or small toys. If you have any donations, please drop them off at the front office.
