2019 AP Exam Information/Dates


Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on college tuition.

  • Out football team heads to Orange Coast College tonight for CIF playoff game vs Villa Park High school. Kick -off 7pm. Tickets $10 Adults, $5 Students with ID. Come cheer on the wolfpack.
  • November 13th we will celebrate our college bound athletes who will be signing a National Letter of Intent to play sports in college. Congratulations!
  • Girls interested in playing Softball, tryouts will be held November 14, 3pm on the varsity field. You must be cleared to play.


  • Congratulations to our teams in CIF! Great Job Wolfpack!
  • Girls Golf Team continued on CIF this week with a final round placing #10 in the entire Southern Section.
  • Cross Country had an amazing performance at SW League Finals at Galway Downs.
  • Girls Tennis and Boys Water Polo also completed CIF play this week. Congratulations on a great season!

Grief Group & Coping Skills Group

GOHS counselors will be offering a Grief Group and Coping Skills group. This group will cover topics including but not limited to the five stages of grief, self-care, learning effective coping strategies when faced with significant loss, and maintaining healthy relationships while experiencing the grieving process. Interested students can come to Counseling to receive the permission slip to attend.


Senior College Application Workshops

Mrs. Preston is offering workshops to support seniors with their college applications. Please Click on this link to sign up for a college application workshop that works best for you.

So Cal Recognition will be on campus taking cap and gown orders the following days throughout the year on the Senior Lawn at lunch:

Submit your 2020/2021 FAFSA ASAP! Money is allotted by college financial aid offices on a first come-first get basis by the date you submit your FAFSA.

Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2020.

Families that complete their FAFSA by March 2nd will receive an additional graduation ticket, for a total of 6 tickets. As an added bonus, once you complete your FAFSA, you will automatically be entered into a monthly raffle for two extra graduation tickets. Visit the Counseling website for more information.

Do you have questions about finding the perfect college and how to pay for it? We have the event for you! Join us on Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00pm in the GOHS PAC for a college fair with over 20 college representatives. All grade levels and all academic levels are invited!

CSULB Leadership Conference & College Tour

GOHS AVID is sponsoring a great opportunity to tour Long Beach State University and experience both a leadership conference & a college level basketball game on Saturday DECEMBER 7, 2019.

Only 50 spots available!

Cost for transportation is $25

Interested students will need to return a signed permission slip and check payable to GOALS AVID to Mrs. Andrade in room 601 to be added to the trip list.
