The Importance of Good Sleep
Last Thursday, six A&M nursing students from the Texas A&M Health Science Center came to teach both classes about the importance of good sleep and good sleep habits. Pictures from their skit are above! Some of the things the A&M students shared with us included: limiting the amount of caffeine you drink, taking video games and TVs out of the students' bedrooms, that children ages 5-12 need 10-11 hours of sleep each night, and having a consistent bedtime, even on the weekends.
Both Mrs. Day and Mrs. Stasney have had students falling asleep during class. Please ask your child what they learned about healthy sleep and see what things you can put in place at home!
