Its commonly known name is the White-tailed Deer, but its scientific name is Odocoileus Virginiaus. The White-tailed Deer is commonly found throughout North Carolina but is unevenly distributed with more dense populations in the Coastal plains and Piedmont with lesser in the Mountains.
