Know That You Are Appreciated!

I would like to say how much I appreciate all of you! I am a teacher, just like you, so I know all of the work and time and heart and soul that goes into being a great teacher. And the North Attendance District has great teachers! You make a difference every day. You touch lives and shape futures. It is easy to forget the awesome power that comes with being a teacher, but it is very real. The video below demonstrates exactly this, and I implore you to take a few moments to watch it. I promise it will boost your spirits and remind you why being a teacher is the most important job, because it makes every other job possible.

Thank you for all that you do for kids,

Teacher Appreciation Week - Because of you...

End-of-the-Year Schedule

ISTEP+ testing is winding down and I am no longer "tech-ing." From here to the end of the year I will be working with PLCs and individual teachers on integration ideas and plans for next year. More information on this will be coming soon. If you know already that you would like to schedule a time to have this conversation please reply to this email and include a few possible times. I would like every teacher to leave with a spark of an idea about how they can better integrate technology into their instruction next year. This spark can slowly grow over the summer as your brain unwinds and opens to new ideas and as the work preparing for next year slowly begins I hope that this spark erupts into passionate flame and drives the creation of something new.

I hope to see everyone in the upcoming weeks, and hope that everyone's final weeks are filled with meaningful student interaction and instruction. Let's finish strong!
