Geography
Uruguay is bordered by Argentina on Western border and Brazil on the Northern border.
Flag
The sun on the flag symbolizes the "Sun of May," which is a symbol of independence and freedom. The nine stripes represent the nine provinces Uruguay had when this flag was created.
Government
Uruguay has a representative democratic government with a presidential system. The current president is José Mujica.
Currency
Uruguay's currency is called the Uruguayan Peso. The exchange rate with US dollars is 1 peso equals $0.04.
