Scientific Method
If you get at least 6 hours of sleep will do better on tests than if you get less sleep?
My hypothesis is that you will do better on tests if you get more than 6 hours of sleep because your body will be more rested and your concentration will be better because you will not be tired.
Materials
I will base my data based from 10 different people. Five will sleep more than 6 hours and the other 5 will sleep less than 6 hours. I'm using 10 people so I can make sure that it is accurate with a lot of people instead of a few people and the data might not be the same so I know the average. After they sleep they will all take the same test and I will see their scores. I will compare both groups to see if my hypothesis is accurate,
Data
Group 1= Over 6 hours of sleeping Group 2= Under 6 hours of sleeping
Group 1 scores..l..Group 2 scores
-----------------------------------------------
------#1 got 90% l -#1 got 50%
------#2 got 82% l -#2 got 78%
------#3 got 98% l -#3 got 70%
------#4 got 67% l -#4 got 91%
------#5 got 75% l -#5 got 66%............................ Average group 1= 82.4......... Average group 2= 71
Conclusion
In conclusion, my hypothesis was correct, you will do better on tests if you get more than 6 hours of sleep. The average for people that got more than 6 hours is 11.4 more than people that gets less than 6 hours of sleep. That is more than a whole letter grade better, which shows that you do a lot better when getting more than 6 hours of sleep on your tests.
