January 25, 2023 - NEWSLETTER
Hola familias de Woodcrest,
It’s a busy week at Woodcrest! We had Coffee with the Principal on Tuesday morning. We focused on the equity work that is being done in Spring Lake Park Schools, and I am grateful for the conversation we were able to have.
Later this week, on Friday, will have another curricular event alongside the PTO sponsored STEM night. Please see below for more details. I hope to see you there.
It is Paraprofessional Recognition Week in Minnesota and a great time to thank the paraprofessionals we have at Woodcrest. We are very lucky to have such a supportive and talented group of paraprofessionals working with our students each day!
Fourth grade families, I hope you are able to attend the online sessions offered tomorrow to get a first introduction to Westwood Intermediate School and the transition to fifth grade. Details and links are in the upcoming events.
Since I arrived at Woodcrest in July, I've met many of you as I've gotten to know this community. At Spring Lake Park Schools, each principal does a video to share who they are and a little about their approach. I recently did mine. For those of you I haven't met, I hope this gives you a little sense of who I am. It's great to be here working with your children each day.
In Partnership,
Jaime Nymann
Principal
Fourth grade families: Get to Know Westwood
Online sessions for an overview of Westwood take place tomorrow. An in-person event for 4th graders and their families will take place on February 2. We hope you'll join us for one of these opportunities to earn more about the school, the transition to 5th grade and to meet members of the Westwood team. See the Upcoming Events section for more details - including WebEx links.
