Congratulations to our SCA Officers!
Congratulations to our new Student Council Association (SCA) officers for the 2019-2020 school year! We are excited these young leaders will work with our our wonderful SCA staff sponsors: An Le, Michael Slobojnak, and Helai Karim. They will be able to share student ideas and concerns, organize school activities and service projects, and promote school spirit.
The SCA stands as the voice of the student body and a new year brings new ideas, traditions, and energy! Check out the great things that SCA will do this year by visiting their website.

Don't Forget: Last Week Recap
Interested in Taking a Practice SAT?
The John Champe High School PTSA is partnering with Huntington Learning Center of South Riding (HLC) for Champe PTSA's BIGGEST fundraiser of the year and your child is the beneficiary of this partnership.
We are offering a mock SAT on Sunday, September 15, at 9:00 a.m. at the John Champe Library. The cost is $20 — the lowest price in the area. All proceeds go to the John Champe High School PTA. Register at https://tinyurl.com/y6sej57m. One of the most invaluable tools of this experience is the report provided to each student which indicates the specific areas where the student should focus his/her prep time in order to improve scores. Additionally, Huntington has great data showing how much improvement a student can expect if he/she works with HLC in a classroom or one-on-one setting. We work with HLC to provide SAT prep classes at JCHS.
IMPORTANT: While the mock testing is being conducted at JCHS and sponsored by Champe's PTSA, you do not need to be a Champe student to take advantage. All students are welcome.
Update on Permission Check
Teachers will be using several online applications in their classrooms to support students. Applications such as Socrative, Pear Deck, Edpuzzle, and Classcraft have been used by students in the past and will be offered again this year. In order to streamline the process, we have created one digital permission form that covers all school-wide applications.Terms of Service Agreements and the Privacy Policy for each application is linked within the form for your review. Please review each title and complete this permission form. The deadline for submission is September 13, 2019. If you have any questions please contact our IFT, Kathy Rush (kathy.rush@lcps.org).
Family Assistance Information
One of our goals at Willard is to help families meet their needs by offering resources both at school and in the community. All information is kept confidential.
If you would like to participate in the program, please fill out the Family Assistance Form and return it to the attention of Erin Mastrangelo, Parent Liaison, Willard Intermediate School. Your child may give the envelope to their grade level House Secretary.
