Hello Wildcat Families-


In addition to the content listed in this email below, I wanted to give a little information for our upcoming Wednesdays.


NOVEMBER & DECEMBER WEDNESDAY REMINDERS

  • November 11th - Veteran’s Day Holiday - no school & no meetings
  • November 18th - Teacher Grading Day - no school & no meetings
  • November 25th, 26th & 27th - Thanksgiving Holiday- no school & no meetings
  • The three Wednesdays in December will be “normal” Wednesdays with morning meetings and independent activities for students


Please help us improve by filling out the school survey HERE. This family feedback has informed our school improvement, our teacher teams, our classified teams and my goals for the year. As the users of our system, your voice is incredibly important!


Please be on the lookout for information about parent listening sessions the week of November 16th. This feedback loop will help us create action plans and share our work around Anti-Bias classrooms and communities.

Mental Health Support and Resources

Is your child or family struggling with mental health or wellbeing? Our school counselor (Destiny Cowan) can provide consultation, student check-in's, or referral to outside services. Contact the school office (503-431-4400) to be connected to our Counselor or Family Partnership Advocate.

Attendance

Teachers will take attendance every morning by 9:00AM. If your child is not attending school, please call the attendance line 503.431.4405 to excuse their absence and avoid an unexcused absence.

Library Book Return

We now have a library book drop box located in our new secure vestibule (located just outside the main office). The secure vestibule will be open 8:30AM-3:-00PM Monday-Friday for you to drop off any library books you may have. The secure vestibule will be open only on days that school is in session.


Please note that while the secure vestibule is open during these hours, the building remains closed. Access to the secure vestibule does not allow any access to the building so if you need anything from the office and/or your teacher please continue to call the office at 503.431.4400 to schedule a time to meet with someone from the office.

Ahora tenemos un compartimento de entrega para libros de la biblioteca ubicado en nuestro nuevo vestíbulo seguro (ubicado afuera de la oficina). El vestíbulo estará abierto de 8:30 AM a 3:00 PM de Lunes a Viernes para que pueda regresar libros de la biblioteca que todavía tenga. Jog-a-thon Information - Last Full Week to Collect Donations!

We have received pledges in the amount of $8,755!!! Way to go Wildcats! Please have all pledges and donations turned in by November 15th in order to recognize the individuals and classes who have raised the most funds during our Virtual Sliming Assembly.


As far as pledges/donations, make sure to log in through https://pledgestar.com/Tigard (information below) and send all your friends/family emails to have them support CFT! We are still accepting pledges until November 15th!

Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support Charles F. Tigard.
