Message from the Principal
Hello Wildcat Families-
I hope that conferences went well for you all. I know that our teachers were really excited about the chance to connect again. We are working hard to figure out the right kind, the right amount and the right delivery of instructional materials. As you can imagine, this has not been easy in our distance learning model.
On that note, I want to let you know that in the coming weeks, all CFT students will be taking an online assessment called iReady (some of you may have already started). It will help teachers figure out where they are with math and reading skills so they can support students in the right ways.
This assessment will not be graded. It will give teachers some individual strengths and needs for each student so they can plan instruction for the group. The time to complete this assessment will vary from student to student. On average, it takes about two, 45-minute time periods to complete. Teachers will be providing instructions to students for how to best complete this assessment during our allotted school times.
It is important to understand that since iReady is a diagnostic test, students will get some questions they know and can understand along with many others they will not know. When they get questions they can’t answer it’s ok to tell them to make a best guess and move on. Please encourage your student to take their time, try their best and please do not help your student with the assessment itself. What they can or can’t do will help us gather valuable information for planning instruction.
Thank you so much for your support and cooperation.
For more information, you can read the attached Family Guides, or view the iReady overview presentation below. See links below.
Have a great weekend.

Mensaje del director
Hola familias Wildcat-
