Welcome to this week's CRC newsletter! You will find time-sensitive announcements, events, service schedules, offering schedules, and prayer lists here. I will send these out at the end of each week.

Christian Education - Tuition Assistance

Any active member of First Christian Reformed Church of Hanford who requires tuition assistance for K-8th at Hanford Christian School or 9th-12th at Central Valley Christian High School should contact Case Zonneveld at 559-647-3115 or casezonneveld@gmail.com NO LATER THAN JUNE 1ST. All school financial aid forms must be completed no later than JUNE 15th.

If you currently use the Tuition Assistance program and continue to need assistance, your contact will also be Case.

Honoring our Graduates

We want to honor our Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Graduates. If you have a graduate, please email Becky. We will honor these individuals on June 17th during our Sunday service, followed by a luncheon.

New Member Class

Who’s it for? People who are not members of First CRC, but would like to become members.
When is it? April 27, May 4, and May 11 from 6-8 PM in the loft.
How do I sign up? Use the QR code and sign up online, or sign up at the Hospitality Desk.
Anything else I need to know? Bring your questions and your appetite. We will serve dinner for the class.

Profession of Faith Class

Who’s it for? People who have not been baptized or made a profession of faith.
When is it? May 24, May 31, and June 7 from 6-7:30 PM in the loft.

Anything else I need to know? Bring your questions and your appetite. We will serve dinner for the class.

CHOIR!?!?

In case you didn't know: Pastor Vince is quite the experienced choir & vocal ensemble director. We hear echoes around the church that some, who like to sing, would be interested in a choir or vocal ensemble. If this is something you would like to be a part of, please let Pastor Vince know through the sign up at the Welcome Center or email (vinceg@hanfordcrc.org) with you name, contact info, singing range (low, medium, and/or high), and singing experience. We'll see what we have to assemble and go from there.

VBS

We still need help to make VBS a success this summer, if you would like to volunteer please sign up on the church website or speak to Elizabeth de Jong. We will be having a Volunteer meeting June 4th following the morning service.

Dear HCS Supporters,

I hope this email finds you well! I am writing to ask for your help in creating a cookbook to commemorate Hanford Christian School’s 80th anniversary. We would love to include your favorite recipe(s) in our book.

We are looking for recipes that are easy to follow and can be enjoyed by people of all skill levels. We welcome any type of recipe, from appetizers to desserts and everything in between.

If you would like to contribute your recipe(s), please send them to us by May 15th at cookbook@hanfordchristian.org. Please include the recipe(s), your name, your graduation year (if applicable), your connection to HCS (if not an alumn), and any fond memories or stories from your time at HCS.

Youth Groups has concluded for the year, they will resume in the Fall.

PRAYERS AND PRAISES

CHURCH FAMILY

Bill Tos -Please continue to pray for Bill Tos and his family. The results of the PET scan were not as hoped and prayed for. The size and number of lesions(metastasis) on the bone have increased since the previous PET scan. Bill is still in quite a bit of pain. More tests are to follow to determine the next and best course of treatment. Many more options are available with several doctors at the USF Clovis Cancer Institute consulting. The first of these treatments will involve radiation. Please pray for the new treatment plan to be successful, for pain relief, healing, and for God's comfort and peace. Thank you for your prayers.

Frank Villalobos - chemo has restarted. He has been placed on TPN (Nutrients through IV) to regain strength.

SHUT-INS

Romans 12:10 says, "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." It can be easy to forget about those we don't see each week. We hope that you take some time to visit, send cards, and pray for these members of our family:
