Born on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California. He spent 12 years of his life there but when his father died of tuberculosis he moved back to England for 38 years.When WWI began he returned to America and his poetry exploded on the scene. He won four Pulitzer Prizes and a special guest at President John F. Kennedy's inauguration. Frost became a poetic force of the United States.He died of complications with his prostate surgery on January 29, 1963.


Robert Frost became a poetic force and an unofficial "poet laureate" of the United States. At John F. Kennedy's inauguration he asked Robert Frost to present one of his many poems. Robert Frost wrote a new poem just for the event. It was called "Dedication". He approached the microphone and moved many people listening to his poem.
