2/20 Thursday- Symphonic Band Pre UIL at Hernandez

2/22 Saturday- 9AM-1PM 5th Grade Instrument selection day at Hernandez

2/25 Tuesday- Honors Band Pre UIL at Hopewell MS

3/1 Saturday- Pancake Breakfast at Stony Point HS (time TBA- select 6th graders will be performing- details will be provided soon)

3/4 or 3/5 Symphonic Band UIL during school day at GISD Performing Arts Center

3/25 or 3/26 Honors band UIL during the school day at GISD Performing Arts Center

Food needed for Teacher Appreciation Luncheon!!

The band department is hosting it's annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday Feb. 12th. The jazz band will be the entertainment for the event. Volunteers needed for 5th grade instrument selection

The 5th graders from our feeder elementary schools will be coming to try out instruments on Feb 22nd from 9AM to 1PM. We need as many helpers as we can get! Students in NJHS will receive volunteer hours for helping. Please email us if you can help, even if it is just for part of the time. If a student and their family is unable to make the Saturday date (February 22nd), please come to one of our make-up dates, February 27th or March 6th from 530-730 pm in the Hernandez Band Hall

Beginner Band Rehearsals

Those students who would like to go on the spring trip to Schlitterbahn will be required to attend 4 mandatory rehearsals to prepare for the competition before heading to the park that day. These rehearsals will be every Monday in the month of April.

Honors Band Rehearsal Change

After School Rehearsals (ASR)- Will change to Mondays from 3:45-5pm starting on February 17 through UIL (March 25/26) Brass and Woodwind students will also have sectionals.
