Dear Cavalier Families,
February is Black History Month. There is so much rich, historic and dare I say haunting, humanitarian lessons to be learned from those leaders who fought and continue to fight for equality and basic civil human rights.
Here at school our staff works hard to ensure that our students feel safe and secure on campus, as is their basic human rights. We strive to make our students feel they belong and thrive here. And if not, my wish is that students can talk to a trusted adult to get the support they need. As a staff, we are constantly changing, adapting, demonstrating to our students what it means to be a Cavalier who C.A.R.E.s-someone who is Courageous, Ambitious, Responsible and Empathetic. There is no better month than February to show kindness to one another, to show our appreciation and respect for one another so we all feel valued at our school. "Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. WE are the ones we've been waiting for." - former President Barack Obama.
This week's announcements:

- For the purposes of student safety and supervision, at nutrition break and lunch time students must stay within the lunch area. The yellow lines on the ground are the boundaries.
