Human contact
Touching reefs, even slightly, can harm them, Boats and also dropping anchors can severely harm coral reefs. Frequent human contact, like tourism, can kill reefs over time.
Natural Disasters
Natural disasters, like hurricanes, and tsunamis, can kill of a large amount of reefs at one time. the power of these natural disasters can sweep away the reefs in a fraction of a second.
Sewage Pollution
Any type of Sewage going into any body of water, contributes to the killing out reefs.
Reefs Natural deaths
Coral reefs can also be killed by natural causes, like stress, disease, and other plants growing over them and making them die of suffocation.
