Please Welcome Maria Hernandez to Indian Hills!!!
Hello everyone, My name is Maria Hernandez. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share about me. I am a married mother of three beautiful children. I enjoy going to the beach, camping at Sand Lake and riding bicycles with my family. I have a Migrant background therefore I understand what the challenges these communities of color face on a daily basis. I have been in the Hillsboro School District for five amazing years. I have specifically worked in the ESL and ERC department. I have enjoyed working with students in different classrooms and helping teachers by translating for our Spanish speaking parents. I'm happy to be part of the community of Imlay and Indian Hills. I will do my best to help students and their family with resources to ensure that they have what they need to succeed. Thank you, Maria Hernandez Family Outreach Liaison (971)208-3237

Childcare Grant
Washington County recently awarded a grant to the Hillsboro School District to support childcare for the children of essential workers, and to support childcare providers as they serve school-aged students—ages 5 to 12—as they access Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) during the school day. We are now able to reimburse families of essential workers and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic for school-age childcare in licensed facilities. This grant is available through the end of December of 2020.
Below are links to the application. Please apply, even if you are unsure that you will qualify for this program. Your application is confidential, and we will support you in the process! If you have any questions, please contact Alma Hernandez at childcareinfo@hsd.k12.or.us
