Tiger Talk
Countdown to In Person Learning
SMART TAG
If you have already registered, please go back into SMART TAG and update your child(ren)'s
dismissal default to accurately reflect how you would like your child to go home regularly.
If you need to make a change to the way your child goes home for a specific day, please log in to SMART TAG and submit a temporary change. The cut off time to make changes is 2:00 pm.
All parents, it is very important for your default to be correct as we will be sending students home based on the information in SMART TAG.
Specials and Recess
Dear Tiger Families and Staff
The LTISD Return to School Protocols for COVID 19 have been updated on the district site. I want to encourage you to read the entire document. However, over the next several days you will receive a message (like this one) from me highlighting a specific section explaining how it will pertain to our campus. Today's topic is Specials and Recess.
Future topics include:
1st Day of In Person Learning at WCHE - Friday, September 4th Newsletter
Visits to the Nurse - Monday, September 7th Newsletter
I hope you find these messages helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,
Melanie Beninga, Principal of WCHE

West Cypress Hills Procedures
*Students must wear their masks in situations where they cannot maintain 6 ft. social distancing.
*If a student needs a mask break, they must be given a space away from other students (at least 6 ft.) for the mask break.
*Teachers will be vigilant to watch for signs of distress or overheating while students are wearing masks.
* The playground and field will be broken into five zones. Zone Five will be designated for PE. Zones 1-4 will be rotated through by classes in a grade level through the week. The teacher of the class will monitor their class’s zone. If there are fewer than 4 classes, the teachers may adjust where the classes can play, but the classes are not to mix.
