Professional Learning

Please register for your grade level professional learning. Teachers will need to bring their cluster 4 planner, (5) completed cluster pre-assessments, and a technology device.

  • The cluster pre-assessments are designed to be used as they are given in the cluster planner. I would love to find out how you are using these and the data they provide. It would be helpful to share this information vertically to help the campus have a strong foundation for students to be successful with the Process Standards across the curriculum.

Math



  • Curriculum Update: They are busy working on curriculum for Cluster 3 and will have it posted when it's complete. The planners and CBAs are posted which can be used for backwards planning.
  • As last year, we will not have a 4th or 5th grade math simulation. We can use CBAs and CFAs to provide targeted instruction. 3rd grade CBA 4 is cumulative (lengthy like the STAAR) and will serve as a simulation. 3rd grade should also be using their CBAs and CFAs to provide targeted instruction throughout the year.
  • The Power of Yet

    Can we teach students to think? Stephanie Harvey says students are born thinking. It's not about teaching students to think-it's about teaching students to be aware of their thinking, teaching them to think strategically, and perhaps above all, it's about teaching students to recognize the power in their own thinking.
