August 2020 Newsletter
Welcome to the 2020 - 2021 School Year!
As we prepare to open our doors virtually I have some important dates to share with you to make the beginning of the year successful for your child(ren). Please mark your calendars for these dates:
7/29 @ 9 AM - Class lists will be posted on front door of building. Please remember to social distance when coming up to check class list assignments. There will be no changes to lists.
8/4 @ 8 AM - 4 PM Parents may pick up materials teachers have provided for the beginning of PVConnect learning. This will include classroom books and worksheets needed for lessons. Teachers are preparing enough materials to cover at least the first two weeks of school.
Drive through the front of the buidling's bus lane and we will deliver materials to your trunk. DO NOT PARK AND GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. If you did not retrieve your child's belongings at the end of last year, please let us know and we can return those items at the same time.
PVOnline will have their own materials for those students who are enrolled in that platform. If you have any questions regarding PVOnline please call 602-449-2450.
8/4 @ 8 AM - 4 PM Band/String Instruments and materials need to be returned. This will be done through the front bus lane. We will retrieve the instrument from your car.
8/4 @ 9 AM - 3 PM Computer Check Out will take place in the library Please park your car in the side parking lot to come into the outside door leading into the library. There will be signs to direct you. Ms. Janine will have a form for you to fill out and will complete the check out process. There are plenty of computers to distribute. EVERYONE that comes in will be given a computer for their child(ren).
8/4 @ 3 PM Welcome Back Virtual Meet the Teacher. Your teacher will send you an invite before August 4th.
8/5 @ 8:45 AM First Day of Virtual Learning Begins!
While this year promises to be unlike any other year, it doesn't mean it can't be a great year full of learning and fun. I look forward to the opportunity presented to us to reimagine our teaching and learning while continuing to give our students a fantastic education and school experience.
This is going to be a great year!
Welcome Back!

A Note from Ms. Camacho and Mr. Johnston
As far as distribution goes, we won't be able to arrange pick-up until we have a complete list of students participating and have reached out to our parents about their instrument selection and needs. All instruments, including rentals, will need to be collected so they can be tuned and finger markers placed on instruments. This process will take some time so please be patient as we work through this process. Once instruments are ready to be distributed you will be contacted to arrange for pick-up.
Thank you for your patience as we prepare for online instruction with our students.
Sincerely,
Ms. Camacho and Mr. Johnston
