PGP's Are Coming to SLS
SLS has developed a new program that we will use with students next year. It is called Personal Growth Plans, or PGP's for short. With the help of teachers and parents, students will create a PGP. The PGP will help drive student learning and personal development by creating goals, working on those goals, evaluating the progress, and then making needed adjustments throughout each academic quarter. We are very excited about this new program and will roll it out in early August.

NJHS to Chateau
This school year the National Junior Honor Society has been making monthly visits to the Chateau to visit with the residents. They play games like corn hole and table bowling and work puzzle sheets like word searches and word scrambles. These visits have allowed the students to get to know some of the residents of the Chateau. It has been a fun experience for all involved! This past Thursday May 11 the students had an ice cream party with the residents to celebrate the end of the school year and honor the 8th graders moving on to high school. The 7th graders are looking forward to continuing the monthly visits next year.

Amazon Smile account
Our Amazon Smile account was set up by the St. Louis PTO a few years ago, and continues to be a good way to support our school.
You simply go to smile.amazon.com and choose who you want to support. Every purchase you make on Amazon benefits us. Also, it's easy to remember because once you have used Amazon smile on a computer, it will remember that you support others and will remind you to use "smile".
The link below will take you to their website, where you can also find additional information regarding Amazon Smile. Please check it out!
* AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.
