Arch Ready: Writing a Personal Statement
Time: 4-5 PM
Location: MLC, Rm. 102
In this session, you will learn general information about the role of a personal statement in the admissions process and core aspects of what goes into a strong personal statement; common challenges and mistakes when writing personal statements; and "best practices” for developing a strong statement, including reflective questions to help the writing process and strategies for concise writing.
Arch Ready: Job and Internship Search
Time: 4:30-6 PM
Location: MLC, Rm. 101
In this session, you will learn how to integrate values, skills, and interests into your job/internship searching plan; how to set goals and manage your time for the job search; networking methods and ways to incorporate them into the job search; knowledge of UGA Career Center resources and other online resources available for job search; and the process of negotiating and accepting job/ internship offers.
International Students Career Chat: Job and Internship Search
Time: 10-11 AM

Sign-up for a Career Chat to discuss a career-related topic with peers and a Career Consultant. Career Chats are open to 10 students per small, group appointment session. This session will discuss job/internship search techniques, H-1B visa resources, OPT/CPT guidelines.

Arch Ready: Cultivate a Career You Love Using Your Values and Skills
Time: 3-4:30 PM
Location: Clark Howell Hall Multipurpose Rm. 246
Don't forget the importance of knowing your career values and skills as you search for jobs and internships! Attend this interactive workshop to gain that knowledge and use it for your job/internship search. After this workshop you will be able to identify and prioritize career values; assess motivation and proficiency in transferable skills; and understand how to use knowledge of values and skills in job/internship search.

GLOBAL FAMILY PLANNING FELLOW - HUMANITARIAN CRISES
Position Description: CARE is a global leader within a worldwide movement dedicated to ending poverty. We are known everywhere for our unshakeable commitment to the dignity of people. CARE operates in 95 countries reaching more than 65 million people through nearly 900 lifesaving projects.CARE cuts poverty off at its roots. We provide tools for sustainable change to the people most vulnerable to hunger, violence and disease. The 2017 Family Planning Summit, held in London on July 11, aimed to catalyze action to ensure that 120 million additional women and girls have access to contraceptive information and services by 2020. The Summit convened over 600 donors, policymakers, and advocates. There were commitments from 35 FP2020 focus countries (including 3 new commitments), 11 donor countries (including 3 new commitments), 9 civil society organizations (including 6 new commitments), 16 private sector partners (including 13 new commitments), and 2 FP2020 foundation commitment-makers. They collectively committed $2.5 billion in funding to deliver rights-based family planning. This one year Fellowship will provide an early/mid-career professional an opportunity to help put the commitments made at the Summit into action.

Civic Enagement and Advocacy Intern
Position Description: New American Pathways is a local 501(c) 3 nonprofit that helps refugees from the moment of arrival in Georgia through their journey to citizenship.
