June 2020

End of Year Message

Dear Green Meadows Families,

The 2019-2020 school year was filled with a lot of unexpected surprises. The school closure in March, due to the Coronavirus, was something no one would have ever imagined. Our students, families, and staff worked together to make the best of this situation. Learning how to navigate remote learning was no easy task and new to all of us, yet we persevered. A huge shout out to our fabulous teaching staff and to the other members of our GM teaching staff, our AMAZING parents and families. You are truly the BEST partners in education and we can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and continued support. We are so very appreciative of all your efforts.

We hope all the members of our Green Meadows community, stay safe and healthy. It is hard to know what the upcoming year will look like but what we do know is that when we are all reunited again, we will celebrate bigger and better than ever. Mr. Villamaino and I are reminded daily how lucky we are to be your principals and to work in such a wonderful school. Thank you and enjoy your well-deserved summer break!

With Green Meadows Pride,

Ms. Moberg and Mr. Villamaino

8th Graders....We are going to miss you!

Thursday, June 18th: "Reverse Parade" and Student Materials/Medication Pick-up

Please look at the scheduled blocks of time below. Parents should come to school to pick up student materials/medications at the time assigned to their child's grade level. Please email Nurse Jennison with any specific questions regarding student medication. Parents with multiple children can choose one time and pick up all their children's belongings at that time, if they choose. Please just email your children's teachers so they know in advance and can have the materials ready. Teachers will collect each child's belongings and put them in a labeled bag for pick-up. Please follow the "Parent Dropoff" route as you enter the parking lot. Parents and students should remain in their vehicles. Teachers will handoff the bags of student's belongings. We will also collect any library books at this time. Grade level teachers and support staff will wave farewell to students. We hope this is a fun and upbeat farewell for our students. We believe this closure is the best we can do under the circumstances. If you do not feel the need to pick up any of your child's belongings, please email your child's teacher. Also, if there are any unique circumstances, and you are unable to pick up your child's belongings at the time specified, please email me directly so we can come up with an alternative solution.

Thank you!
