Boyles law
Matt Wadsworth
BACKGROUND
You have to determine the volume and the pressure of a confined gas. ,We used air as our gas and it will be confined to a syringe that is connected to gas pressure senor and the data is sent to the computer for me to record. The volume of the syringe can be changed and determining whether you push the piston of the syringe in or pull the piston out the pressure of the confined gas will change.
PROCEDURE
1. Prepare the Gas Pressure Sensor and an air sample for data collection
2.Prepare the computer for data collection by opening the file “06 Boyle’s Law” from the Chemistry with Computers folder of Logger Pro
3. Move the piston to position the front edge of the inside black ring (see Figure 2) at the
4. Continue this procedure for syringe volumes of 9.0, 11.0, 13.0, 15.0, 17.0, and 19.0 mL.
CONCLUSION
According constant g to the data table i found in this lab that as the volume and corrected volume increased for the most part while the pressure bounced around but averages out at 88.43 kPa
