Thank you to Devin's Mom and Dad for our Pizza Party! What a kind gesture that made everyone's day. YOU ROCK!

We are working on writing about our opinions during the last few weeks of school. We will be writing to persuade others to change something or change their opinions on something.

Shared Reading

We will be working on finding and recalling the Main Idea of a story. It is hard work but we are trying hard to figure this out! We continue to use our reading strategies in Guided Reading as well. We will be talking about the "powerful words" that authors use in their stories.

SIGHT WORDS -- words we have learned so far:

I, a, can, see, like, am, to, go, the, he, she, we, me, is, it, be, you, look, this, is, my, said, will, of, was, said, of, do, they, this, that, SHE, WHAT(new words in Large print)

We are working hard on addition and subtraction. Many of our kids have passed most levels of our timed tests! Way to go Gray Wolves! We have also started our MONEY unit. We are working hard on learning the names of the coins and their values.

Just for Parents and Grandparents:

Thank you to all who made our field trip a huge success. It was a beautiful day of learning and fun for everyone. Please make sure your child is present at school from now until the end of the year. I know illness is going around and that is excused but I am busy assessing in MANY areas throughout these last days and it makes it so difficult when kids are gone. Thank you for your help with this.
