There is no doubt this has been one of the most challenging school years in history. Yet through it all, the students were simply incredible. They learned and demonstrated flexibility, perseverance, and responsibility while still learning so much in their classrooms. All of which, does not happen without you.
The dedication and commitment by the students and their families, the teachers and staff helped make this year the absolute best that it could have been. We at FKS are so fortunate to have the students and families that we do, because we could not have done this year without your help, support, patience, and understanding.
Throughout this year, you have played the role of teacher, bus driver, cafeteria worker, counselor, nurse, and tutor all while doing the hardest job of all, being a parent.
Please know how grateful we are to have you and your children at FKS. It is not something that we take for granted. We look forward to seeing all of our students back next year, and wish continued success for our sixth grade class.
Have a wonderful summer and thank you for all you have done.
Sincerely,
Bill Madden
Principal, Frankstown Elementary

2021-2022 Lego League Season Info
Lego League involves learning leadership skills, basic robotics, and programming by leveraging the Lego Mindstorms program and US FIRST's themed competition format.
The season runs from September through February and typically involves weekly 1 hour meetings in the evening to work on the team's robot and presentation. Students in grades 4-6 are eligible to participate.
In order to field a team, we will need between 1-3 adult volunteers to help actively lead our teams. While familiarity with programming is helpful, it is not required (and can be taught!).
If you are interested in helping lead a team or simply for more information, please contact Christian Wolfe at 814-931-1159 or wolfect529@yahoo.com.
