WISD Education Foundation Student Scholar Athlete of the Week
Varsity Lady Roos wrestler Camille Fournier is this week’s Education Foundation Student Athlete of the Week.
Camille has been wrestling since 2011. She’s currently a sophomore at Weatherford High School and this will be her 2nd year on the varsity wrestling team. In her freshman year, she placed 1st at District, 1st at Regionals, and took 2nd place at State. Camille is an 11 time All-American, is currently ranked #1 in Texas at 102 lbs., and ranked #7 in the United States at 106 lbs. Recently, she placed 4th at the most prestigious national high school tournament held in Fargo, North Dakota.
Camille is a member of National Junior Honor Society and active in the Community Service Club at Weatherford High School. She is a member of Northside Baptist Church High School Ministries, where she volunteers with the Boundless/Revive Class for children with special needs.
After competing in the Schoolgirl Pan Americans in 2016 and winning bronze, Camille hopes to earn a spot on Team USA's World Team to compete internationally in the future. After high school, she would love to wrestle at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in physical therapy.
Congratulations to Camille Fournier…this week’s Education Foundation Student Athlete of the Week!
