All Things Baker!
Principal's Message!
Hello all,
Thank you for another successful week of learning, growing, and progress! Although the year seems to be moving so fast, I think it is important to slow down and truly enjoy and be thankful for the little experiences and triumphs that happen every day! Maybe it is just improving your math grade, finding a new friend, or solving a personal struggle, it is all progress! We need to remember to pat ourselves on the back and be our own best cheerleader. I love when I see kiddos proud of their successes, their personal triumphs! Their positive attitudes are infectious and a great reminder to the rest of us to be positive and work hard!
I am so proud of our students and our staff as they continue to inspire me each and every day! Thank you all for your support and sharing your little people with us! Please remember, at Baker Elementary we believe In a World Where You Can Be Anything . . . Be Kind!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace

The 5-0 Down Low!
I have a few safety concerns that I wanted to share with y'all.
Please do not text while you're driving, let alone dropping off your child. This is a huge safety issue and is also against the law in a school zone.
Please buckle your children in their car seats. An accident is a horrible way to find out what happens when a child is not buckled in. And, again, it's the law.
Last one, please do not stop your vehicle on the crossing walks. Myself and our two designated crossing guards need that area to get the kids across to the school safely.
Thank you for everything you do,
Officer "AJ' Osborne
Lovepacs Information!
Dear Parent or Guardian,
During extended school breaks, families often need double the amount of food they typically use due to their students being home all day from school. Lovepacs works with area schools to provide families with additional food to cover their increased needs within their family by supplying food packs.
These food packs will include items such as bread, rice, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, snacks, canned vegetables, canned fruits and canned meats— enough to feed your child breakfast, lunch, and snack each day of the break.
Prior to Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks, Lovepacs will deliver food packs to the school of your choice or deliver them to your home for families that choose to participate.
More information on Lovepacs is available at http://www.lovepacs.org/prosper/
If you would like to receive a Lovepac, please click here to complete the online form by February 21, 2020 in order to participate for Spring Break. You will enter the password: Lunch in order to complete the form.
If you have questions, please contact Jeni Sexton at jeni.sexton@lovepacs.org.

Flu, Coronavirus and Other Illnesses
Please be assured that Prosper ISD will continue to be in communication with our local partners and stand ready to take all appropriate measures. School Health Services is closely monitoring all developments and is in regular communication with public health officials.
Our campus custodial staff will also continue to disinfect campuses each day to help offset the spread of communicable illnesses, but it takes all of us to ensure healthy school environments. As a reminder, we are still in the midst of cold and flu season, and it’s important for families to take preventative measures to safeguard themselves from the spread of communicable diseases.
Preventing the Spread of Infection.
