~Mission~
Dear Pioneer Families,
Welcome to February! This month, we have exciting opportunities for you to engage in.
We're continuing our conversations about our facility needs, and we value your input. Please consider joining us at one or more of the upcoming community conversations outlined below.
Also, don't forget about:
***Parent-Teacher Conferences on the evening of Thursday, February 15, 2024. It's a chance for you to connect with teachers and discuss your student's progress.
***There is no school for students on Friday, February 16, 2024. This is a professional development day for staff and they will be hard at work learning and collaborating with each other.
Your participation is vital in shaping the future of our district. Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to seeing you at these events.

Middle School and High School Event
Attention Middle School and High School Families - More information will be coming to you about this event: Marquette County Human Services Department Presents RISE TOGETHER
Today, ADDICTION impacts more than 40 MILLION Americans. 90% of those who STRUGGLE with addiction start BEFORE 18, while SUICIDE is the leading cause of death among teens.
RISE TOGETHER, brought to you in partnership with SAFE Project, has a solution to provide communities with high-quality educational programs, workshops, and training that help build strong youth advocates and leaders. Their teams comprise dedicated professionals with diverse backgrounds, educations, and skill sets.
Montello and Westfield MS/HS School students and teachers will participate in the RISE TOGETHER Prevention Program, which will take place on February 7 & 8, 2024. An educational seminar for parents and community members will also be open to the public on February 8th at St. John The Baptist Church in Montello. Doors open at 5 pm, and the presentation will start at 6 pm.
The educational seminars for our students, staff, and parents aim to educate our community about the overwhelming number of young people suffering from significant trauma, large amounts of stress, substance use disorder, self-harm, suicidal tendencies, and other social & emotional health conditions.
The goal is to inspire through storytelling, creating hope and igniting motivation for change. Ultimately breaking the silence and getting a life-saving conversation started; conversations that can prevent the onset of substance use and support overall personal health and wellness.
RISE TOGETHER, and SAFE Project are non-profits on a mission to decrease youth substance and increase positive mental wellness by educating, engaging, and empowering youth to use their voices for change, breaking the silence around addiction and mental health. https://fb.me/e/18QuBDFsU #WestfieldPioneers

Mark Your Calendars For These Important Dates!!
District-Wide Facility Usage Request Process
Please be aware of the "new" electronic facility use request process.
On the school district website you will find a link on the home page that indicates "Facilities Use Form and Calendar." If anyone ever needs to request use of a facility they would initially apply to be a "requestor" via the link. This will provide you with an application and a password upon approval. It will be important to ensure that the individual or group in need of the facility is the individual who wants to use the building/location. This individual will receive all communication and play a key role in the process. Once the facility usage request is received and approved, key people such as custodians, principals, and the athletic director will be emailed that this request has been added to the calendar.
Please click on the link below for direct access.
