Principal's Corner: Parent Updates & Reminders
Dear Panda Families:
Thank you for staying connected to Brookview and all that you are doing to support your child(dren)’s educational pathways. As we are getting closer to the holidays and we are approaching flu season, I want to make sure we are keeping safety and instruction at the forefront of our minds at all times during this pandemic. With that being said, here are a few reminders:
- Please make sure your child(ren) arrives to school on time by 7:40 AM. Breakfast ends at 7:35 AM. We will not continue serving breakfast beyond 8:00 am effective immediately. Instruction starts for all learners at 7:40 AM. Late arrival impacts student learning. Please get your child to school on time.
- Please make sure your child(ren) come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Please make sure they have a jacket and/or coat daily. If you need a coat, please contact our Social Worker, Ms. Kendrick, via email at kendrickn1@fultonschools.org or myself at wallacej1@fultonschools.org. We will try our best to assist you!
- Please make sure you are checking your child(ren)’s temperature prior to bringing your student to school. If the student has a temperature approaching 100 degrees, they should NOT report to school.
- Please do not send your child(ren) to school if they are not feeling well. We need to lessen unnecessary risks to keep everyone safe.
- Additionally, if your child(ren) refuses to keep his or her mask on, they will be sent home and switched to remote learning. We have to ensure safety and well being of all students and staff. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Please make sure you send masks to school daily for your child. The school is not able to continuously provide masks for every child daily.
Lastly, I’d like to thank you for participating in our Brookview Votes Campaign. We love the pictures of our Pandas and Panda families going to the polls and exercising their right to vote. We will continue to exercise our voting rites during the upcoming run off elections!
Congratulations to Ms. Gates & Ms. Glover's Pre-K Class for winning our Brookview Votes Campaign!

Brookview Parent & Family Engagement Plan and School-Family Compacts
Greetings Parents and Families,
Attached below, you will find our school wide Parental and Family Engagement Policy, which has been developed jointly with, and agreed on with, parents of children participating in the Title I, Part A programs. This policy was adopted by Brookview Elementary School on October 2, 2020 and will be in effect for the period of 2020-2021 school year. Brookview Elementary will distribute this policy to all parents of participating Title I, Part A children on or before October 15, 2020 and will be placed on the school website.
Also attached you will find Brookview's School-Family Compact, which was jointly developed by our teachers and parents. The compact outlines the shared responsibilities of parents, students, teachers, and administrators for student academic achievement. The compact also outlines how the school and parents will develop a partnership for student success. School-Family compacts will be placed on the school website at the beginning of the year.
Please review this information with your student(s).
